About Me
I have been practicing psychotherapy for over twenty five years, working in general psychotherapy, as well as specialising in working with eating disorders. I currently work at the Nightingale Hospital, and also have a private practice in North London. Previously I was Lead Psychotherapist in both Adolescent and Adult Eating Disorder Services at the Priory Hospital Roehampton for ten years. Before that I worked in University Counselling Services, GP Practices, Community Mental Health Teams, and private practice, working with a variety of people presenting with a wide range of difficulties.
I have a research-based Clinical Doctorate in Psychotherapy from the University of Essex. I also have a Masters Degree in Working with Eating Disorders from the Tavistock Centre. I qualified as a Counsellor at Regent's College in 1997, and as a Psychotherapist at the Lincoln Centre (a British Psychotherapy Foundation Training) in 2004.
As well as working with eating disorders, I specialise in treating depression, anxiety, self-harm, relationship difficulties, and general life-changes.
Accreditation
I am fully accredited with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP Accred) and the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC Reg). Both the BACP and the BPC work to the highest standards of training and practice, setting out strict guidelines for the conduct and continuous professional development of their members.
